There's more than a little frisson of excitement in the air as I'm typing this as I'm just about to start up a new venture and my belly is full of nerves, mixed in with all sorts of emotions, from full blown fear to an almost childish eagerness to get things started.
On 15th November 2018 I will hosting the first 'All About Insta' workshop in the tranquil surroundings of the Grade 1 listed country house hotel, Hintlesham Hall, nestled in the heart of the Suffolk countryside.
It has been quite a winding road I have travelled to get to here, but I feel very excited to be at the beginning of a new path. After I gave up my garden design consultancy, for some years I felt my creative flair had been somewhat swept under the carpet and then I found Instagram. It appeared to be the perfect social media platform for me to come out from my shell and say hello to the world again. Sharing photos of food and my other passion in life, my cottage garden, with so many other like minded people, was a way for me to express myself and meet so many lovely people along the way.
However, like many creative people, I have a somewhat sensitive nature and my relationship with Instagram over the past few years has been a very rocky one at times. I am now pleased to say that I'm very happy and content with my account and I wanted to share my experience and knowledge of the platform with other users, enabling them to get the maximum benefit from everything Instagram has to offer, whilst still enjoying the ride along the way.
It's been a lot of fun but taken many hours of list writing, honest self-appraisal and plain hard work to bring 'All About Insta" together but I am delighted with the result and I can't wait to bring it out into the big wide world.
The workshop will deal with ways to grow your followers in a positive and organic way, how to reach your target audience, style and take the best pictures you can using your phone, all whilst staying happy and proud of your Instagram account.
I'm absolutely thrilled that 'All About Insta' is being held in the luxury hotel that is Hintlesham Hall. The historic surroundings will provide scope for so many photographic opportunities and I will be taking a varied selection of my own props for everyone to experiment with styling during the course of the day. For those who aren't familiar with Hintlesham, it has an acclaimed award-winning restaurant serving the best local, seasonal food. Rest assured the lunch provided will be excellent.
So, only a few weeks to go until take-off. I hope some of you will join me for what promises to be a fun and informative day. You will be learning and participating hands-on in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere, ensuring you go home happy and inspired to carry on your Insta journey to the heights that you aspire to.
